About The Course

Al Balagh is offering, first of its kind, Islam, End-of-Life and Palliative Care online course to explore contemporary issues related to end-of-life care and palliative care from an Islamic perspective. The course aims to develop your knowledge, skills and confidence to care for Muslim patients with terminal illnesses and their families. It will contribute to and enhance your ability to lead and drive effective care with Muslim patients suffering from advanced diseases.

Course Overview

The course intends to guide you to use your communication skills effectively to provide comfort and relief to Muslim patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families. It will also explore the support provided to terminal patients of different ages such as children, youth, aged, patients suffering from advanced cancer, dementia, and neurological, lung & other advanced heart diseases.

Key Objectives

The key objectives of this course are to:

  • Develop an ability to understand the Islamic principles and practises of end-of-life care and palliative care.
  • Examine the various common situations faced by Muslim practitioners, patients and their families.
  • Evaluate the critical issues arising from providing end-of-life care to terminal patients of different ages such as children, youth, aged, patients suffering from advanced cancer, dementia, and neurological, lung & other advanced heart diseases.
