Course Overview

The Fiqh of Menstruation is a pivotal area of Islamic jurisprudence that is essential for Muslim women to understand, especially given the frequency with which these rulings affect acts of worship. Unfortunately, many women are left confused or overwhelmed by the intricate rules surrounding menstruation, post-natal bleeding, and other feminine health issues.

Course Aims and Objectives

The course will seek to teach students:

  • To acquaint the student with fundamental and critical rulings surrounding the different forms of blood and purity.
  • To equip the student with principal knowledge surrounding feminine purity and impurity which can serve to be a pivotal guide through different times of the month and her feminine journey.

  • Understand the Basic Rulings: Gain a foundational understanding of the Islamic jurisprudential rulings related to menstruation, post-natal bleeding, and uterine dysfunctional bleeding.
